A trip to the other side!

It’s been a very hot and busy few months with lots of friends and family coming to see us in our new home. So as the summer was drawing to an end we decided to grab some holiday time ourselves. With so much to see and do in Mallorca we cut out the airport experience and headed over to the other side of the island.

The Northeast coast has a very different vibe to Pollença and as we settled into our mini break we once again found ourselves absorbed by the beauty and variety of this island. We stayed somewhere that isn’t our go to type of hotel, normally favouring the smaller boutique types, but Cap Vermell Grand Hotel in Canyamell did not disappoint at all.

The hotel is in a great location with a short walk down to the beautiful Canyamel bay or a 10 minute drive to the town of Capdapera and onward to the stunning coastline of the Northeast. We have always enjoyed coming over to this side of the island and n the winter you can do some beautiful coastal walks that take in Cala Mesquida and Cala Torta.

So the hotel has two lovely pools with a bar terrace, three restaurants including a Michelin 2 Star, a country club, spa and huge rooms all with wonderful views. Great service and a lovely feel to the place that certainly made us want to come back again
